Since 1937, Calvary Presbyterian Church of Glendale has been a community of light and a witness to the city of Glendale. Uncompromisingly commited to the holy scriptures –as the revelation of a loving God to a needful humanity, we are followers of Jesus, the author and perfector of our faith. Calvary takes both the duty to engage in missions and the to serve the community seriously, seeing both as the expressions of a true faith. This is a church with a great past, a meaningful history, and a futture hope as we continue to fulfill that great commision.

What do you believe?

Calvary Presbyterian Church of Glendale (PCA )

We Confess... We believe the Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice. We believe in the Holy Trinity. There is one God, who exists eternally in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. We believe that all are sinners and totally unable to save themselves from God’s displeasure, except by His mercy. We believe that salvation is by God alone as He sovereignly chooses those He will save. We believe His choice is based on His grace, not on any human individual merit, or foreseen faith. We believe that Jesus Christ is the eternal Son of God, who through His perfect life and sacrificial death atoned for the sins of all who will trust in Him, alone, for salvation. We believe that God is gracious and faithful to His people not simply as individuals but as families in successive generations according to His Covenant promises. We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells God’s people and gives them the strength and wisdom to trust Christ and follow Him. We believe that Jesus will return, bodily and visibly, to judge all mankind and to receive His people to Himself. We believe that all aspects of our lives are to be lived to the glory of God under the Lordship of Jesus Christ. Three major freeways cross us (5, 2 and 134). Find us right off the 134 Freeway, right off the Glendale Avenue exit. Finding Us:Calvary Presbyterian Church is conveniently located next to the 134 Freeway in Glendale, California.The fastest way to get to Calvary Presbyterian is to exit the 134 Freeway at Glendale Avenue. We are at the top of the eastbound offramp next to Vista Paints and across the street from the IHOP.From the Freeway, turn left from Glendale Avenue into our west parking lot, or turn left at Doran and left onto Adams to enter our east parking lot.

Seeds of Hope is the MTW Children's VBS Video project for 2010-11. The focus this year is on Haiti. This video is available on DVD from mtw.org for your church to use during VBS, in Sunday School, or any other format. It is broken up into 5 sections, intended to be shown daily over the course of a week. There is a project as well that children can participate in to provide "seeds of hope" for the orphanage in Haiti.
This video was produced by MTW's StreetChild International ministry for the PCA's Women in the Church 2006 conference. Although it is aimed at just this audience, it does give viewers an overview of this epidemic that is largely unknown.For more information visit: streetchildinternational.org
